This photo was taken of Michael Wagner at approximately 76 degrees south latitude and 157 degrees east longitude during the third week of January, 2000. He and five other robotics researchers from CMU took part in a month long expedition during which the robot, Nomad, autonomously found five meteorites. This was the first time a robot ever found a meteorite on its own.
